I have downloaded an older version of Firefox browser. I thought I was able to keep my current Firefox browser and still download the older version.

Now all my folders and bookmarks are gone because my newer browser version was overwritten by the older browser version. How do I use a previous Firefox profile which has all my folders & bookmarks?

Firefox would normally create a new profile when you install an older Firefox version. Did you use a custom install and installed 115 ESR in its own installation folder ?

Firefox 67 and newer use a dedicated profile for each Firefox installation and lock this profile to prevent other Firefox installations from using this profile.

Note that you can use Sync to sync data between different profile folders.
