Login credentials for hotmail after update

I have two accounts on Thunderbird, a gmail and a hotmail. Since the update, I'm not having any problems with the gmail account, but when I try to check the hotmail account, I get an error message that says I need to put in my login credentials. A pop-up then comes up to supposedly allow me to do that, but instead it always redirects to a Thunderbird welcome page, and I don't know how to actually enter my login credentials to be able to see my emails off of this account. Any suggestions?
