Thunderbird hangs with "checking mail server capabilities". Does send emails but says copy not made
Thunderbird hangs with "checking mail server capabilities" Does send emails but says copy not made due to. m Cannot receive any emails.. Used Thunderbird for years with no problems. Cannot find any solutions in forum that helps. Would be so grateful for help - my life is being ruined! The box below says email me when someone answers but i cant get E-mails??

"Unable to save copy" could be a Thunderbird bug.
Or it could be antivirus such as https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1300380. Do you still have your antivirus software set to exclude the Thunderbird directory?
I really appreciate Wayne taking the time and effort to try and help. It suddenly started working a few days ago. No idea what it was all about but will check further. Just wanted to lodge my thanks.
