Portable Firefox 111 and 112 Won't Start

I've been using the portable version of Firefox for years. Every release up to 110 has worked great. But release 111 and 112 won't start.

I posted my problem there, but because the problem still exists when I bypass the portable launcher and try to start the Firefox desktop executable I'm looking for help here.

What happens when you try to launch Firefox?
