Hi, I've just spoken with Apple Care and described to them my problem. When I want to share a Pages document, I have different options but none of them is via a Thunderbird email. In "extensions", the box "Thunderbird" is not even clickable (see picture attached). Two professionals tried to fix my problem but eventually said that the issue seems to come from Thunderbird and not from Apple. Hence my question: how can I be allowed to share a Pages document in a Thunderbird email smoothly, without having to go the other way around (new e-mail -> attach doc -> Pages doc)?

Thanks in advance for your support.

Best,

Flora

Hello there We have read your message. We try to help you.

A moment please.

in the photo you sent. indeed, it turns out that your extension does not show up when you need it. turns out it should actually show up here as well.

There appears to be an installation for Mac of Thunderbird? What version and what type are you currently using on your macintosh?

Please answer these questions so that I can better assist you.

which is clear that perhaps apple should have looked into this better. All these topics seem to have to work from within your mac environment.

also please send us the system versions of your mac.

Greetings Firefox volunteer.

Hello there flora.riechel.

your system accepts thunderbird software which should be first,

you have already installed this Software on this one. The possibility is that you can also delete your software program, but in part this also seems to have to be deleted in your finder there to delete this app so that it is completely deleted. you can also partially disable it by simply erasing it.

can you try to see for me if these functions are working properly and have you gone through all of them?

Reinstalling your Os and the Thunderbird software. Check that extension from thunderbird.

Then reinstall the Icone again. (URL down below). https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/thunderbird/addon/smarttemplate4/

Some versions of Mac OS suddenly seems not to work some how with Thunderbird software. Previous versions did show that. Please take a full version of the Thunderbird software. It might connect you again with the wanted stuff.

Dear Firefox volunteers,

thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my question.

My MAC OS system is MacOS Ventura 13.2.1

My Thunderbird version is of course the one for Mac: 102.9.0 (64 bits).

Does this help?

Thank you in advance for your tips.

Best, Flora

I think you'll find that the Share option in any app, as well as Pages, only works if the default mail app is Apple Mail. Even on Windows, Share only works now with the Windows Mail app, and Windows has better options for sharing (MAPI or SimpleMAPI) than OS X.
