I just installed Thunderbird v 102.7.1 64 bit on Xubuntu Linux

My email SMTP server uses SSL/TLS on port 587 but Thunderbird won't let me set it up. If I select SSL/TLS the port automatically switches to the standard port. What's the solution?

Select SSL/TLS, then highlight the port that is autodetected (465) and type 587.
