I have 3 emails accounts active on TB. On one of these accounts, only, the inbox emails display no content when I open any email. Completely blank. I tried the "repair folder" trick and all this did was delete the 'subject' titles for all emails contained within this 'inbox'. I can open any email in the 'trash' for this particular account and the content is still there and readable. All other accounts work fine. It is only the 'inbox' for this one account that has the issue. I have searched for 'inbox.msf' however my computer search cannot locate this file. It is not in the directory c:program files- mozilla firefox. I have deleted TB and reinstalled it with the latest version and the results are the same. Has anyone got an idea what is wrong?

Is there a problem with yahoo mail? I just created an account for my yahoo mail on Microsoft Mail. It has exactly the same issue as TB. On MS Mail I can read all my sent mail and deleted mail however there is no content in the inbox, why?

have you tried logging into your yahoo account using a web browser and looking to see if there is actually anything there! It sounds to me like the folder no longer contains any mail. (I have seen this when antivirus programs delete all mail to dig out what they think is a "threat" but not in recent years)

Yes logged into Yahoo mail and there are no issues there. I have checked my antivirus and there is nothing about email issues.

Your image looks like the emails might exist as there are dates and other indicators like empty stars.

The image also shows the Folder Pane and the folders look like typical POP account folders. eg: 'Junk' Is this a POP or IMAP mail account ?

We need to find out what you have got stored in your profile.

Please supply the following info:

  • Menu icon > Help > More Troubleshooting Information.
  • Under 'Application Basics' - half way - Profile Folder - click on 'Open Folder'

A new window opens showing the contents of your profile name folder. All POP accounts will be listed in the 'Mail' folder. All IMAP accounts are listed in the 'ImapMail' folder

  • Click on 'Mail' (or 'ImapMail' if imap)
  • click on the mail account name folder for problem account.
  • make sure you have the 'View' tab showing 'Details' eg: columns - name, size, type, modified date
  • Make sure this checkbox is selected: File name extensions
  • Post an image jpg file showing the contents.
