These dirs are named "mail.<servername>-1.com", "mail.<servername>-2.com", etc. I don't know how to determine which sub-dir goes with which account on that server.

Why do I need to know? I want to restore some old, deleted emails from just one of those accounts from a Macrium backup. I tried to browse the content-prefs.sqlite file, but I'm not sure it's stored there (and I probably didn't use the best browser).

Thank you for your suggestions. I'm stumped.

You can easily check which IMAP account corresponds to which local filesystem folder as follows:

Go to Thunderbird's menu > Account Settings. Alternatively, using the menu bar, go to Tools > Account Settings.

In Account Settings, click on Server Settings in the left pane, directly underneath each account. In the right (main) pane, scroll down to the Message Storage heading/section. You will see a box/field labelled Local Directory, inside which you will see the full path of the local filesystem folder where that account stores its messages.
