I'm finding TB increasingly slow and glitchy in Win10, as described in my replies on that question. I'd also like a leaner, cleaner, faster and more reliable version of TB, plus a program to reorganize, combine, consolidate, read, archive and export emails from old profiles.

I finally got to send an e-mail! I changed the SMTP connection security from SSL/TLS to STARTTLS. I think the port changed from 465 to 587. I got a message from TB stating that it couldn't send it because the certificate was wrong, then got a TB a window asking me to confirm the security exception. I did. Then I resent and had to enter the new password for the new server. We could use better instructions. It finally worked. I hope it stays that way. I'm still getting TB windows on other accounts/profiles repeatedly asking me to confirm security exceptions for certificates, even though they have worked for years, and I check each one off as a permanent exception each time the window pops up. I know very little about certificates, and don't want to deal with them. It's a little like uber-needy Windows XP years ago, when it constantly asked me to check security problems I knew nothing about. I took it back to Sam's Club and got Win2000 instead. Less is more.
