My thunderbird app will sometimes give me a failed to connect to server message upon opening the app. Usually I can leave the app open and it will eventually start working on its own, But today the app has been open 5+ hours and still nothing. I have rebooted my pc, Ran as admin and still nothing. I need to access thunderbird for my important work emails so any help is much appreciated.

If you are using version 102, Try https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/candidates/102.2.2-candidates/build1/win64/en-US/Thunderbird%20Setup%20102.2.2.exe - take the defaults when installing so that it installs on top of your currrent thunderbird program directory. Is it better?
