Firefox Bookmarks repeated

For some reason my Firefox Bookmarks list has copied itself. ie a complete second list follows on from the original list. How do I delete the copy without losing the original list? I tried deleting individual entries in the second list but they also deleted from the original.

Hi, your post is under Thunderbird, but this sounds more like a browser question.

Where do you see the duplication? Firefox has three "containers" of bookmarks and you can check them sequentially in the Bookmark Sidebar (Ctrl+B). Is the duplication within Bookmarks Menu or Bookmarks Toolbar or Other Bookmarks? Or is there one copy in Menu and another in Other, etc.?

Sorry, this didn't actually solve problem Original copy appears to be under Bk Mks Toolbar - See PrintScreen 64 PrintScreen 65 shows duplicate commencing again at 'Recently Bookmarked' but not sure whether in Menu, or another folder

Oh, "Recently Bookmarked" is not a separate bookmark, it is a list of the most recently added bookmarks across all buckets so you can easily find them quickly if you like.

The list is generated by a search and is "live" in the sense that deleting from the Recently Bookmarked list deletes the bookmark from the Bookmarks Menu, too.

Over time, those bookmarks should disappear from the list when they are no longer that recent. However, I have one from March still on my list, so it probably will take a while.
