For a few months now I can't upload anything larger than 500 MB on Google Drive. I did talk to GD support and it worked fine with Chrome and Chromium. So whatever is causing this problem, it's in Firefox. I tried with a clear Firefox (one with no extensions by deleting /.mozilla) but it's still the same - the upload starts but then stops within the first 30 seconds. Ping and traceroute are all perfectly fine to google servers, no losses, so it's not the connection either.

Firefox is the latest stable version: 101.0.

Interesting... Let me generate a big file and give it a try. You can also download Firefox from Mozilla to test and see if you get the same error? https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-nightly

If your upload speed is 20MB/s, then you do have fiber optics. Mine's 36-37MB/s and it does upload at that rate but as I said, it stops in about 30 seconds. For comparison, the same large file (8.5GB) uploads without any hitch on Yandex Disk, which is why I thought the problem was with Google Drive. But uploading it using Chromium and Chrome suggests the problem is in Firefox.

I would guess you're not in the US, 30MB is not considered fast for Fiber. Here is a sample of Fiber. https://go.verizon.com/residential/fios/internet Anyway, can you download Firefox from Mozilla and try again. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-nightly
