Thunderbird will not connect to pop mail

When I open thunderbird a box appears on the bottom right hand side & says. Connection to server pop.mail.com was reset. No emails are downloaded. I've just restarted & updated my laptop. How do I fix this. Regards Mark

What update was it can I ask?. What kind of laptop?


Try to turn of your security software do you have Avg software for this? Computers also with Avg on them are having these issue s to . Try to reinstall Avg ,reinstall Avg and check if this solves something for it. Disable your antivirus Edit the network settings. Disable your VPN to try figureout where it s at?



Also it could be that it is the out of date use of SSL or Tls that your server stopped using that out of date and insecure protocol. Then it s not by Thunderbird.
