How can I reply to the sender instead of replying to my alias I got the email from?
Hi community, I'm loving Thunderbird so far but I ran into an issue, and although it's not a huge deal it certainly can be a deal breaker.
At work we have an alias (production@domain.com) through which we get emails from our clients. In Thunderbird anytime I get one of these emails sent to my alias and I try to respond, when I hit reply or reply all Thunderbird puts the alias production@domain.com as the receipt, instead of replying to the client directly. Is there a way to configure Thunderbird to reply to the client directly and put into copy my alias?
Thanks in advance!

I have a workaround that may assist. Not perfect, but requires only a key click. Add production@domain.com as an identity to your account in tools>account settings. Then, when you click reply, just click the FROM dropdown menu and select your real address. And for backup, set your real address as the 'reply to' for the production alias. Or is this what you're already doing?
I have a suggestion, although it may be what you're doing. Set the production@domain.com as an identity within the account. Then, when you receive mail to that id, just click the drop down menu on FROM and select your real id. Also, setting your real id as a 'reply to' address would ensure on those times your forget to click the dropdown, the recipient's reply still comes to you. This may need adjustment for your situation, as I'm unsure on how you set up aliases.
