TbSync for google contacts - contacts not showing up

I have successfully gotten the OAuth to work correctly for TbSync and google. When I hit the "synchronize now" button, I get a return code of OK. But I don't see the contacts in my Address Book anywhere, and they don't show up when I go to write a new message. What am I missing?

Thanks. That worked.

Actually TbSync (with the Google-4-TbSync) was working too. What I didn't realize was that there's a difference between the suggestions in Gmail's Compose and what's in Google Contacts. Your suggestion tipped me off that something else was going on.

I haven't used TbSync with Google for a while, but I think you now need the Google-4-TbSync add-on. Otherwise, Google Contacts can be added to TB with the built-in CardDAV option: in Address Book, File/New/CardDAV Address Book, enter the gmail address, Contacts are autodetected, enter the account password in the OAuth window.
