Since a recent automatic update (couple months ago?)Thunderbird has had two very big problems. 1. Right side Sliders disappear and it takes a great deal of manipulation to navigate the emails. 2. A bunch of random tabs from that time always open on launch. For years I have loved Thunderbird but these issues are really debilitating. I have searched and searched for solutions but to no avail. PLEASE HELP! Thank you!!!

Chosen solution

1. You have to enable scrollbars 'Always' in OS X system preferences.

2. Help/More Troubleshooting, Profile Folder, Show in Finder, close TB, delete session.json.
