Had download problems with Thunderbird for over 3 moinths. Asked for Thunderbird help a number of times but I can't find the reference. Problem is I can't get Thunderbird downloads from my 3rd party EE.net server. Messages to the webmail server at EE.net is OK. When I ask for "new messages" it just times out. Talked to WOWWAY.com they said can't help- not their problem. Talked to EE.net- same answer. Talked to Thunderbird- Matt. He suggested a number of things, can't help. All of a suden the problem went away 2 weeks ago on its own. It works great now but I don't know why. Coincidence, I got an updated version of Thunderbird at same timne problem went away. I'm not complaining...but I want to leave everything alone now that it's working. So, if it's something you did, congratulations, please don't touch it any more! Art Towslee

I am closing this, I suggest you continue where you left off I you wish to continue the discussion. Generally odd issues like what you are describing relate to third party software (usually anti virus/ malware) that finally get a poke and updates when a new install comes along. Sometimes it mysteriously fixes things, more often things break mysteriously because that update did not occur when the new version came out
