When asked, I told firefox I wanted to allow HTTPS ONLY sites when I am browsing or getting on to a particular site. However, even if the site is HTTPS, the page comes up that I am about to access a site that is not HTTPS. Each time I have to stop and tell it that is okay to go to that page!! This slows down my access and is getting to be a real pain. I don't use HTTP sites. If I see that is what it is, I don't go there. But Firefox doesn't seem to know the difference. What can I do to make this start working appropriately? I am not a computer savvy person. I'm a great gramma with limited skills, so don't get too technical. I just want to stop this page from popping up each time I try to access something online. And it says it about EVERY site I try to get to, no matter if it is HTTPS or not. Help please!

You appear to have a user agent that is modified to 'Firefox 93.0/N7AAYDV0-57' by Avast Anti-Track that could be causing problems, so if you do use this software then try to disable it. You will have to contact Avast about this if their software causes problems for you. We can't do much about this apart from identifying Avast Anti-Track as a possible cause.

Do you use a bookmark, possibly with the http protocol, or are you starting with the main (home) page of this website?

If you use a bookmark to access a specific page then instead navigate to this page starting with the main page or with the sign in page in case there is a problem with this bookmark.

You can check the connection settings.

  • Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":
