How to stop TB from saving Recents?

I have the TB shortcut icon located on my Taskbar. When I right-click on it, there appears a long list of "recent" emails. Not just their Subject, but access to the entire messages. Even after I have long since deleted the messages! Where do I turn off this feature so my deleted emails are truly gone when I delete them?

I can not make it save resents. So I can't really help you turn it off. My Thunderbird taskbar icon only shows the tasks open the address book and write a new email.
