Hello,

I just installed Thunderbird on an older laptop with Ubuntu. The version I am running is 78.13.0 I cannot encrypt my email messages. OpenPGP encryption is enabled (I even checked in the Config Editor), and I've imported by personal/public keypair in the key manager. Still, the option to encrypt messages is greyed out.

Anyone know about this issue and can offer a fix?

have you configured the key to use under account settings? It sounds like you have not.
