Making firefox my default browser from microsoft edge transfers

Having installed Firefox months ago, I would now like to make it my default browser and was wondering how to transfer saved user names, passwords and bookmarks from Microsoft Edge?

And please be merciful to an old fart having minimal tech skills with your answers!

Hi Chip, Tell us if this works...

  1. Press the Alt key to temporarily display the menu bar.
  2. Go to File > Import From Another Browser
  3. Select Microsoft Edge and click Next, then follow the rest of the prompts.
