Deleted Passwords
I will give this one more try and then I will delete this program.
I want to save some specific login information. I get it to work right and then a week or so later it erases all of the information.
Reset it so often is worse than it not saving.
Why does it delete the information when I don't want it to.

Is this with all websites/pages, some, a few?
Are you using other password managers not from Mozilla?
Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
I load about 20 different password combo and then it will without any warning it will erase them all at the same time.
No other password managers. I keep some passwords on Chrome and some on Edge and have not issue with those.
Profile data can be removed or not recorded in several ways;
- 1) Running Firefox in Private Mode (nothing is recorded)
- 2) Privacy settings; (In the address bar, type about:preferences#privacy<enter>)
- 3) Many disk cleaners and anti-virus type programs can remove data from browsers
Open their settings and have them leave the browsers alone. - 4) Mal-ware.
Do you see logins in logins.json if you open this file in Firefox tab ? You can also check logins-backup.json the same way.
Try to rename logins.json and key4.db in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.
You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
- Help -> More Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Folder/Directory:
Windows: Open Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data
You need the set a new Primary Password if a new key4.db is created.
I give up. This is not only not simple, but it near impossible. I am deleting firefox and letting everyone know it is not worth it.
