I was recently "donated" a Window 10 (Home) iBuyPower computer after my son-in-law upgraded because my 2012 iMac is too slow running OS Catalina (OS 10.15.7). Now retired, cannot afford to replace the Mac . Windows 10 Mail does not have a setting so I can remove mail from my ISP mail server after they download. I am frustrated with having log in and manually remove the messages. Is this an option available in Thunderbird? (For illustration purposes, and hopefully clarify my objective, I am attaching a screen shot of the settings from Mac Mail.)

short answer is yes and no. Thunderbird has that option for accounts configured as POP. It does not for accounts configured as IMAP. Which mailbox access method you choose when setting up the account in Thunderbird will ultimately affect if you have the option.

Note: You will get a default IMAP setup unless you deliberately select POP.
