Can't import old local email folder to new profile
Hey there, I have got local folder where is file Inbox (3.8gb) and Sent (5.1gb), but when I assign the path to this exact folder, I'm able to see only messages from last few weeks. Is there some kind of solution?
Thank you all for help!

Did you copy the mbox files, Inbox and Sent, into Mail/Local Folders of the current profile, with TB closed? When TB restarts, the folders should appear under Local Folders in the Folder Pane, but large mbox files might take a while for the .msf index files to generate (see progress in Tools/Activity Manager).
I have 4 profiles and don't know which one is the correct. But I will try to do it and reply there if it worked.
Help/Troubleshooting, about:profiles, will show all profiles and the default profile, and buttons to open any profile folder.
This is the folder which I think has emails in it. I am using POP3 hosting (I have specific indiviual adress = no gmail/outlook) and this is last +-14 years of messages. I've tried to paste it to Roaming profile, but it seems it loads no emails.
is there a way to check if those files (inbox 3.8gb and sent 5.1gb) actually has the e-mails in it, and is there a way to import e-mails from those files?
Did you copy the two large files, Inbox and Sent, into the Mail/Local Folders location of the default profile, then restart TB and find folders named Inbox and Sent in the Folder Pane?
yes, but still nothing; total +-100 emails instead of thousands
If the Inbox or Sent files are large, but TB displays only a small number of messages, it could be that most of the space is taken by messages that were deleted. Deleted messages are invisible in TB but present in the mbox and marked as 'deleted'. Compacting a folder from the right-click menu will permanently remove the deleted messages, so the size then reflects just the number of non-deleted messages.
So if I understand it properly, all emails are erased forever?
Compacting permanently removes deleted messages, but before that you can open an mbox file in a text editor and view the content of messages marked as deleted. Not recommended unless you desperately need to see a deleted message that isn't in the Trash folder.
Sorry for long time response, I hadn't way how to get to the internet. Can you tell me more how to "compact" messages?
It's mentioned in a previous reply: right-click a folder in the Folder Pane, Compact.
