Firefox in Ubuntu won't let me sign in, says wrong password every time

Hi,

Thanks in advance. I'm days behind in my work as my windows stopped working and I reinstalled and am using Ubuntu now. I am logged in to my Firefox account on both the windows destop, which I can still access with limited function and am messaging you from now, as well as my android phone. I have verified my Firefox account and tried a dozen times but in Ubuntu this frigging system will Not let me log into my Firefox account in Firefox to sync my passwords, extensions etc etc. It will do nothing but tell me my user name or password is wrong, quite infuriating actually. Can you possibly assist in any way? It would be greatly appreciated.
