I am using firefox 85.0.2 (x64) and my address bar, Bookmarks fonts and drop down fonts too small to even read and would like any suggestions how to increase them. I have already tried the "about:config" suggestion and even changed the -1.0 to -1.5 and -2.0 without any difference.

You wrote you tried "-1.0 to -1.5 and -2.0", did you also try the positive values: 1.0 to 1.5 and 2.0 ?

Which about:config setting have you changed?

more options

You need positive values of layout.css.devPixelsPerPx because the (default) negative value -1 means to use the system DPI setting.

You can set layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 1.0 (default is -1) on the about:config page. Adjust its value in 0.1 or 0.05 steps (1.1 or 0.9) until icons or text looks right.

  • modifying layout.css.devPixelsPerPx affects user interface and webpages (global zoom)

Firefox has a Zoom section in Options/Preferences to set the default zoom level for webpages.

  • Options/Preferences -> General -> Language and Appearance -> Zoom

The pages are fine. The only problem is the very small text on the address bar and file, edit, view etc. I tried your suggestion with no improvement. Trying to use their support is a joke. Thanks for the reply though.

layout.css.devPixelsPerPx is the registry I changed without any change in the size of the text.

Thank you for your help. I now have it at 2.5 and though still small I am at least able to read it. My problem is that I have Acute Macular Degeneration which doesn't help any. I appreciate and thank you and terauck for responding and you cor-el for your solution. Cheers, Jack T.
