Firefox sometimes shows that a tab is being refreshed (the little spin circle) even though I haven't opened it.

Sometimes a webpage can update itself. Is this a problem?

It's an issue or I wouldn't have asked the question. Firefox continues to be the #1 resource user on my system, so wanted to know if there's any way to prevent this

Is this with all websites/pages, some, a few?

There may be an add-on that can help. Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.

I didn't find any add-ons that would help. It seems to be a random thing rather than a specific site. Since I don't have an example currently, I'll just drop the issue. Thanks.

don't give up so easily! check out this site: https://www.technipages.com/enable-disable-automatic-updates-in-firefox cheers, jürgen
