After the last update of firefox for android, I find that the uBlock Origin Addon is no longer in the list of recommended addons, but it can still be seen in the addons for android website. I tried to install it through the website, but after downloading the addon xpii file it says, “cannot open this file.” Does uBlock Origin no longer support firefox for android? Or is there any way to install it. My firefox version is 84.1.4

Okay, thank you.

I have been advised there there is Chinese legislation that means we cannot recommend content blockers.

You need to install through the Add-ons menu.

menu button > Add-ons

If you have not installed any Add-ons yet:

Tap the + button next to uBlock Origin.

If you have already installed an add-on:

Tap Add-ons Manager, then tap the + button next to uBlock Origin.

Does that work on yours?

There's no uBlock Origin in the Add-on manager. There're only those "recommended addons"

Hmm, for me, uBlock Origin is first in the list of 18 Recommended Add-ons. Can you try swiping the list up and/or down?

As for me there're 10 recommened addons. No uBlock Origin -_-

Hi

I hope you do not mind me asking, but are you based in China?
