I have been happily using FF for android as my default browser on my tablet for some years. It recently updated to 79.0.2, which I am busy adjusting to!

Could the development team please consider adding "android" to the extensions library search filter "operating systems". At the moment the only options are "all", "windows", "mac os" and "linux".

Most of the extensions/add-ons previously compatible are no longer compatible for this latest update, but I have not yet found a way to find out which ones are compatible. Clicking on 'add-ons' in the menu only gives a list of 6 "recommended" add-ons. I have been wasting a lot of time browsing the FF extensions library, finding one that looks interesting, trying to install it only to be notified that "this extension is not compatible with android". Adding "android" to the extensions library "operating systems" filter would avoid this time-wasting, and should (I hope) be relatively easy to implement. I suspect that many other users others would find this helpful.

Anyway, my thanks to you all for your hard work on this great browser!

Hello! After the last update of Firefox for Android to version 79.0.2 via Google Playstore my phone is crashing after 5 seconds and rebooting when I launching the browser. Then it gets bootloop. I found that if I stop the internet connection of the phone the bootloop is stopping and even I can get firefox browser keeping opened and it's working (offline). My phone is Nexus 5, Android 8.1 (LineageOS)

Suddenly Firefox is back to using language of country you are in (SIM also resident country) as default. Have tried all the old ways of getting preferred language and settings are correct. However, language does not change, remains as country language. Please fix as currently useless, using alternative now. Version 68.11.0 on Android 8

If I use Private Browsing language it's ok there. Cache is regularly cleared. All other browsers are using preferred language including Google and Chrome.

How to fix/work-around this now?

After the update, Firefox android doesn't respond to button commands (I hold down the home button for the menu as customised in my launcher, which is easier than reaching for the three dots in the upper right corner). This used to work in Firefox and still works anywhere else... I hope this will be fixed.

I don't really see any other real changes, except for fewer options, bottom/top toolbar and ghostery + to top add ons not working....

Hello everyone!

With the latest Firefox Android 79.0.2 (Build #2015755339) AC: 48.0.12, 08d017158 GV: 79.0-20200720193547 AS: 61.0.10

I get this behaviour that I can't find on the version release notes so I'm assuming it'll be a bug:

The Android contextual menu for sharing still has the Firefox share icon yet now it'll open directly in Firefox. Was the facility that had the option to send to other synced devices within the android sharing environment deprecated?

I realise I can still send to devices from within the browser, it's just that the previous feature saved time especially in poor network conditions.

Thanks for your input.

I have installed 79.0.2 for Android.

  1. 1. Did Not recognized previous settings, like Dark.
  2. 2. Does Not allow to change Settings/customize menu back to old/previous Tab display.

Usually when browsing most websites like ebay, or looking files in OSX or Windows,

allows to view items/files/folders in different ways...

New Firefox has Gallery View, Previous version had Box view, It should allow user to select how to view/display tabs.

  1. 3. And Dark, should be Hollow Dark.

Tabs background look semi dark purple. Should have more Dark versions...

Like CF.lumen App.

Im gonna roll back / downgrade to v78. Sorry, this version is too weird.

Is there any way to disable the Firefox sharing menu and just use the default one that Android puts in every other app? And/or to scroll to to bottom instead of right to left? Having to swipe left and right to find which app I want to share into is a huge waste of screen real estate. I'd much prefer to be able to see all the possible apps rather than just two rows at a time.

I'm using AdGuard on Android and in order to filter HTTPS traffic with AdGuard, I need to install a certificate in Firefox. But in Firefox Beta it does not work properly.

When I go to http://127.0.0.1:38129/adguard.crt in regular Firefox, it brings up the certificate import screen, but in Firefox Beta it just downloads the adguard.crt file and doesn't let me import it.

How can I install the certificate?
