Hey Echo,

Thanks for sharing your concern. I'll be glad to address your concern!

A VPN hides your real location and protects your data from data collectors. Typically, when you visit a website, that site’s server can see your IP address (your computer’s location), and usually, the connection isn’t secure so data collectors can see what information your computer is sending out. When you use a VPN to connect to the Internet, you use the IP address of one of our encrypted servers instead of your real IP address, and that will throw off data collectors who profile you based on your location. You get to choose any server location from the dropdown menu and you can change it any time.

Once you've installed our Mozilla VPN for iOS app and hit the switch to turn it on, your traffic will be encrypted and routed through one of our secure servers. Depending on your preferences, you can leave the Mozilla VPN on or turn it off after each browsing session.

I hope this helps!

I’ve installed the VPN on my iPhone. It turn off automatically and each morning I have to turn it back on. How do I keep it on at all times? By it turning itself off it seems to defeat the purpose of having it on my phone.

What if continuous attempts to toggle on fail? Whats the solution?

I understand how the VPN works - my question is: Once I turn the VPN on, why do I have to keep turning it on each time I go in and out of the internet. I thought the default setting for this is ON unless I open the VPN app and actually turn it to the OFF position.

Is there a setting that I am missing to make it stay on all the time?

Thank you
