I have spent well over an hour trying to figure out the interface of Firefox Android, giving up, then researching on Google, giving up on that because nothing useful was there, and finally going to Chrome where I immediately found a download link from my file. This is ridiculous.

Some specifics, so you can see the problem: I am at http://lilypond.org/snippets.html

In the right hand column event page are links to three files. The first two are HTML files and the third is a PDF file. Press and hold your finger on either of the first two and there is no download link. The download link only appears on the PDF file. I was trying to download the second HTML file, which in Chrome is perfectly easy to do because a press and hold on all three links leads to a popup menu with a download link. Not so in Firefox. This has to be an overlooked error of some sort.

All I can say is I desperately hope that this gets fixed. It's seriously non-functional.

Hi Tom

Thank you for your question.

This is something that we are currently exploring for inclusion in a fure update to Firefox for Android. You can follow progress (and add comments) at https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/issues/219
