How can I avoid tracking shit that gets appended to website URLs? For example this one: https://email.mg1.substack.com/c/eJxtkc1uozAUhZ8m7IqM7Qyw8CINikSmEFUjDe0KGXMTHMBmjAmBpx8n7WakkeyFzzny_fkEt3DRZmGDHq03jWBKWbMojCNKsVczFGIRVp4cy7MB6LnsmDdMVScFt1KrRxijLSFew8SZ_6hiWuEaEai3QOJtVG3jgJ4DwmksvEeJkk-1BCWAwQ3MohV4HWusHcYN2W3wwZ0GuG3ACH03UjTc1KNW_jhVo-Wi9YXuXWZwV-kb9BWYFxy_YITRhhysbkFtSALLMRD49_KBuza9apqvLc2T9-Vtf5wrkqNvfcmSdj4l7_S0nyUvDshp9_y6w_maOi8lLj8IksmTPM51kdrsuguyNZNOX937qT_-e_s4dp9FjngRT6lC_lAEq9mfDUr6n_cs_GVeh_Azrs5TGRQ3RSaAcuLp65xdLp5kj-aDgCAUUoRDP_CHP4Nc524UZtxQ1F-Cf8b3DGu4asFIdXG2244UvgL74FI6v5-UtEsJilcd1MyaCTz7xfdJwC4DMAXz2IG1YL7EJ8cYRTSKPFes1g61Yv9D8RfUL8D-

Where did that URL come from? Bulk emails typically use URLs like that. Unfortunately, I don't know how you can decode that to the "real" URL so you can bypass the tracking server. Maybe you can find an online converter?

I dan manually delete everything after "token" and end up with a working link to the web page with the article: https://heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/november-29-2020

I'm just looking for a way to avoid having to do the manual cleanup before forwarding the link to someone who would be interested.

Try out this extension.

Oddly, I have had ClearURLs installed and running all along to no avail. I'll see if I can update it to reject the particular trackers I've been bothered by.
