Firefox killed my main window and ALL MY TABS
I closed firefox (all three windows), and when I reopened it, it opened the two background windows... but NOT the main window that had all my tabs and pages and projects. Thanks, Firefox.
I *could* go through my History, and see if I remember WHEN I accessed each tab, and TRY to rebuild it, but that is INSANELY ANNOYING and takes upwards an HOUR.
Chosen solution
I don't want only one window to be restored, I want all my tabs in all my windows restored if it is closed or crashes. If I only wanted one window restored, I'd only use one window. And yes, I know how to close a program.

Next time, first close windows you don't want. Then close the browser using: Windows: Menu > File => Exit Mac: Menu > Firefox => Quit Firefox Linux: Menu > File => Quit
The session store will record what Firefox was doing, and can restore that.
sessionstore [v56] sessionstore.jsonlz4 file(s).
Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.
Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.
Locate the above file.
if you need to rescue any data from them, just move them out of the profile folder to some location where Firefox doesn't look for them. You can try to read out their contents using this tool: https://www.jeffersonscher.com/res/scrounger.html

Did you check "History -> Recently Closed Tabs/Windows" to see if you could restore that lost window ?
Note that safest is to use "Show my windows and tabs from last time" as the startup setting.
