Is there any extension or option to have my home page display a personalized news feed in exactly the same way that Chrome does? I don't want a generic news site. If not I'll probably switch back, it seems x like a pretty obvious feature to be lacking.

That is currently unavailable in Firefox for Android, but may be something that we look to make available in a future update.
