Cannot re-enable Pocket Recommends in latest version of Firefox

Pocket Recommends disappeared from Firefox a few days ago. Although I have followed all steps detailed in [support article] Pocket recommends does not appear on my home page.

Chosen solution

I actually was able to solve my problem - the value for

browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.feeds.system.topstories

also needs to be set to true.
