Arial Black font is missing
What happened to the Arial Black font? It suddenly disappeared from the list of fonts that appear in Tools >> Options >> Language and Appearance.
Due to vision problems, I require a bold font. Mozilla has now made it almost impossible for me to use Firefox. Does anyone know of a workaround to this problem?
also, a FYI: Removal of this font violates the Americans With Disabilities law.
Chosen solution
I found a solution. In case anyone else has the same problem, do this: Go to about:config. Then edit the entry for font.name-list.sans-serif.x-western to have it say "Arial Black" instead of just "Arial".

Hi jckamer,
sorry to hear that you are having troubles. Actually whether "Arial Black" is listed as a font option in Firefox depends on whether you have the font installed on your device. Just to be sure, can you check if the font is available in other applications, e.g. Microsoft Word?
When did you first notice that the font was missing? Did you maybe set up Windows from scratch? Did you update Firefox to a new version? Please give us some background information.
Thanks, Niq
The Arial Black font has ALWAYS been on my device. Yesterday it suddenly disappeared from Firefox's list of available fonts. I solved this problem by editing about:config. When I added Arial Black to the about:config font entry, it re-appeared in the Firefox font selection list.
The mystery is why Arial Black suddenly disappeared from Firefox. But at this point I no longer care, because everything is now working as it should.
