Email disappearing from inbox after switching to new computer

asmp

I recently moved to a new computer, and it has come to my attention that my email on Thunderbird seems to disappear from my inbox at set intervals. At most I can go about a month back, but any emails from before that are gone. I can't seem to find them anywhere but on my old computer. I also can't seem to find a fix for this issue online. Does anyone have any idea as to what could be causing this issue?

Probably on your old computer have used pop3 but on the new computer you are using imap. Check on the new computer what you have on Synchronization & Storage page (tools- account settings) on disk space options. If there is a check-box and value 30 (days) then that's why those mails disappear.
