Problems typing the letter t in Thunderbird
Hi,
I have a weird problem in Thunderbird, when I type a double letter t the second t creates a backspace! I cannot write tt and with incoming emails the t's are missing. Even when the spell check picks up a word and corrects it is still will not display the t I am using Thunderbird windows 78.2.1, I have tried different versions and all are the same. Windows 10 Pro
Can anyone help?
Conor.

Sounds more like a computer setting for the keyboard issue. Perhaps you have a setting that means you have to allow a certain amount of time between selecting the first 't' and the second 't'. try this info: https://accessibility.shell.com/windows-10-changing-keyboard-settings-using-filter-keys
I have 'Use Filter Keys' switched off And 'Allow the shortcut key to start Filter Keys' selected.
Chosen Solution
Hi, Thanks for your response, but this was not the issue and did not solve it. But I have found out what the problem was. I noticed the problem only occurred when using the body or paragraph settings not when I used the headings or preformatted. I then changed the font which was set to calibri to arial and the error was gone!
FYI, the error was when I typed 't' it worked but if I typed a second t it acted like a backspace. I also noticed that in my incoming emails 't' was missing from words when viewed in Thunderbird but if I copied the message to say notepad the t's were there.
Thanks for your help
