New Thunderbird installation on Mac, restart does not load profile

Newly migrated from Windows 10 to Mac. After frustrating use of Apple Mail, installed Thunderbird. Added 3 email accounts. For 3 days, working great, happy I transitioned.

But then I closed Thunderbird. When I launch it again, it's asking for initial data again as if I never set it up. I spent several hours in the config (3 accounts, different server configs, rules, maintenance, etc). Hate to start over.

This usually happens because TB hasn't been added to the Applications folder:

I followed the instructions. I also have a Thunderbird icon in the library with a couple of profiles. Any way to load those profiles?

If you launch TB, then under Help/Troubleshooting, click about:profiles to open other profiles or set another profile as the default.

Thanks!!!
