VPN not connecting on Win7

VPN works fine on Android phone but can't connect on Win7. I start the app and sign in successfully in Firefox but get hung up on "waiting for sign in and subscription confirmation" window. Nothing but the spinning gif. Tried restarting both Firefox and the computer, no change. Ideas?

The Mozilla VPN app is only for Windows 10 (64-bit), iOS and Android. Mac and Linux clients are coming soon.

Windows 7 is End of Life or EOL and hardly anybody uses Windows 8.1.
