I just downloaded Thunderbird (Version 78.0.1, 32 Bit)to replace the Windows mail client. So far it's working fine, but the emails from the current date in prior years are intermingled with those from the current date. I've seen some support articles on the config file changes to try, but I don't have "options" under the tools menu. I do have "Options" in the menu (at the same level as "tools" but there is no "advanced" entry - and I can't seem to find a way to get to the config file.

Thanks for any help!

Chosen solution

Options is still under Tools on the Menu Bar (press Alt if it's hidden), or click Options from the AppMenu, then Config. editor is at the bottom of the General section.
