I am extremely upset. I updated my Mozilla email about one month ago. It erased all subfolders in my contacts. I now am missing the contacts! I have received notification in my email that there is a new update and am afraid to update and lose more contacts. What to do now?????

I'm sorry, I meant to call the email ThunderBird, not Mozilla.
