Delete recent searches
Curious as to why I can longer hold SHIFT-Down arrow and select recent entries on the search bar and delete them?

Are you seeing recent search terms instead of real-time search suggestions/results?
No, it's site addresses I have typed in the search bar. In the past I could use Shift - Down Arrow to select and highlight and then delete the ones I want removed. That's not working now. Screenshot attached.
Hi sean41, that looks like Firefox, but your question got posted under Thunderbird. A moderator can move this thread to the more relevant forum.
Meanwhile, that is the Top Sites list. Starting in Firefox 75, when you click the address bar and before you start typing anything to match off of, Firefox shows your first 8 Top Sites from the Firefox Home / new tab page. What would you like to do about this list?
(A) Get rid of it
There is a checkbox on the Options page:
Note: if you quote a reply including a URL, your reply will enter a moderation queue instead of being posted immediately.
(B) Clean it up
You can unpin, dismiss, rearrange, add URLs, etc., using the Top Sites section of the Firefox Home / new tab page. These articles have more info:
- Customize your Firefox New Tab page (screenshot example attached)
- If you turned off the Top Sites section, turn it back on: Customize your New Tab page to hide or display content
The less default content you leave, the most of your history can fill the list.
Jefferson,
Yep - you are right. I posted in wrong forum, but thanks for the reply. It is weird, though, that until recently I could just highlight a saved entry with Shift +Down Arrow and delete it from the list.
One of my best friend's owns a large patent drafting company here in Charlotte. Small world.
Thanks
Sean
Hi Sean, Shift+Delete still works on lists of matches, but not on the Top Sites list. Maybe that will get added later?
