Quoting sender's initials in my reply.
It has been 10 years since I used Thunderbird (Thunderbird Setup 3.1.9) and here I am back again (Thunderbird Setup 45.4.0)
I think that back then when I replied to an email, Thunderbird inserted the sender's initials before each paragraph so that a reply to an email from, say, Paul Reynolds was quoted as:-
PR> Chris, I think that your memory may be fading.
I have had a look through "Options" and "Account settings", but I don't see any obvious setting, especially a Checkbox switch. A search of topics in the forum turned up nothing, but there again I am still finding my way around the forums.
I would appreciate learning:- (1) Was this indeed a feature of Thunderbird? (2) Is it now a feature of Thunderbird and if so (3) How best might i trigger it to take effect.
A hyperlink to an existing solution would help me in two ways:- (1) It would solve my immediate problem and (2) It might help me to know how to go about locating an existing answer to my next problem!
Thanks Chris (Paul Reynolds) Greaves.

I've never seen this option in TB, but there was a topic in 2004. I don't know if there's any way to do this with the recommended app, Texturizer.
By the way, the last release for XP is TB 52.

Thanks SFHowes. I suspect that it used to be a feature, but was dropped. I shall update my version of Thunderbird anyway. Cheers Chris
