Is Firefox Preview supposed to activate my camera when I was reading a news article?

My Samsung Galaxy S9 alerted me of Firefox Preview activating the camera when I was reading a news article on the browser. It hasn't happened before. I'd like to know if this would be a bug, a security breach or something else.

Perhaps some website, advertising or malicious script has requested access to the camera. Sometimes websites or ads use the javascript function getUserMedia() to get info about your device. It could trigger the notification.

Thanks for your reply! Would disabling camera access to FP be of any help? Or could a malicious script still bypass the permissions? I haven't had such a notification using Chrome so far.

Yes, go ahead.
