Hello Rizwan Ali, You can simply right-click on the desktop shortcut and select Delete. This will not affect the installation of Firefox.

If you think that you might have a corrupted icon cache, see these for help: Rebuild Icon Cache in Windows 10 Thumbnail and Icon Cache Rebuilder for Windows 10

The installer creates the shortcut after Firefox is installed. That's all it does. The browser does not create shortcuts unless you tell it to do so.

After deleting the shortcut, how long before it reappears? What were you doing at the time?
