Why can't I delete stored data from Firefox? Keep hitting delete but it does not work.

Keeps saying there is 21mb of cached web data however often I try to clear it. Please does anyone know what it is that I can't clear? I use private browsing, adblocker, everything should clear when i close browser but it doesn't happen?

Location of the cache/cache2 folder; Windows: *C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\ Mac: ~/Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles/ Linux: ~/.cache/mozilla/firefox/

Close Firefox. Open your file browser to the above, and remove the folder.
