I went to download the custom version and it did not let me do that.
I went to the webpage to download the Firefox custom version. However it did not do that. It downloaded it and kept going without giving me the custom option. I am on a Windows 7 PC. I needed this to view my Amazon music page as it no longer supports the IE browser. Can anyone please help me how to download the custom version? I read the article before doing this. I am new to Firefox. Thanks

The Mozilla Maintenance Service is installed automatically and you only get one version and that is the one that comes with the highest Firefox version you have installed. You need to confirm a UAC prompt because this service is meant to update in the background. You can find MMS listed as a separate application in "Windows Control Panel -> Programs".
- Options/Preferences -> General -> Firefox Update: "Use a background service to install updates"

Custom version?
The desktop Firefox web browser from Mozilla can be downloaded from www.mozilla.org and from www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
The second link allows you to pick the language, OS, 32-bit or 64-bit for Windows and Linux. It also has the full offline setup instead of online stub installer for Windows.

I went to this website for the custom install here:
I went to where is said to go for this custom install from this webpage and it was a fast install. There was no install wizard as it showed on that page. Should I uninstall this and try again? Thanks for you quick reply!
You can find the full installer here: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
You don't have to uninstall the previous version.

What parts of a custom installation do you need? You normally only use a custom installation to install Firefox in a specific location.
I had read that there is a Mozilla Maintenance Service of which I did want. I looked in my program files and see that this service has been placed there. But at the top of Firefox, it wants me to go to https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/new/ to update due to some add-on problems. So, what do I do? Thanks
