Why does Firefox take about 25-seconds to start?
It only happens when I open Firefox. I can open additional tabs or windows after Firefox starts almost immediately. It happens like that every time. I will say that I have I.E. 11 Browser installed on this same computer & I do not have that problem. I have tried refreshing Firefox in the past with no improvement. What can you suggest?
Thank you!

Try Menu > Help > Restart With Add-ons Disabled and see if it starts faster. If it does, then one or more Extensions may be slowing things down. This could be normal with the slower start with one or more Extensions.
Let's check your computer stats:
Please do the following:
Click on the Windows icon 'Start' (bottom-left) and in the right column, bottom, click on Run. Enter in:

DxDiag

...Wait until the green bar loads and disappears, then click "Save All Information".
Post back here in the Forum with a Copy-n-Paste of just these information parts, under these three Headers:

Here is a copy-n-paste of the dxdiag you asked me to send. It's not new, but is fairly recent (1/19/2019). Does everything look "normal" or not?

Hello hgw53t,
Would you, as a test, disable that Shield Study extension :
"ETP Search Volume Study 1.2 "
Does that make a difference ?
I would be glad to if you could tell me how. It isn't in extensions or plug-ins in the add-ons section.
Thank youMcCoy said

That's odd - your system details show under "Extensions":
"ETP Search Volume Study 1.2 (etp-search-volume-study@shield.mozilla.org) "
What do you see when you type in the address bar :
"about:studies" (without the quotation marks) and press Enter ?

Maybe that's the hangup. ETP Search Extension messing things up and not showing up in Add-ons, but yet it's there?

I found it & removed it as that was the only option I saw. Firefox takes about 15-seconds to start now as compared to 25-seconds before.
Many thanks for the support!
