I do not want the "pocket" stuff on my desktop every time I call up my Firefox account. I never requested it. I never link with any of it.

Chosen solution

It sounds like you want to remove the Recommended by Pocket section on your Firefox Home page. Information about the feature and steps to remove it from your Firefox Home page can be found on the Pocket Recommendations in Firefox FAQ page.

Basically, it's an option in the Firefox settings. Select Home on the left side of the Firefox settings screen and uncheck Recommended by Firefox.

Otherwise, you can remove other Pocket features from Firefox entirely by following the steps on the Disable or re-enable Pocket for Firefox page.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. Although it was not quite so straightforward, I eventually located "home" in preferences, and everything else was exactly as described. I am very much relieved!
